kinda defeats the point if the qoi crate is faster and has been shown to work

Originally qoi crate wasn't fast at all. Then it was rewritten from scratch and took few optimizations from rapid-qoi.

Now qoi crate claims to be the fastest, but I haven't seen a proof.
