It seems like it stopped working. The problem is described here: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/game-capture-not-working.79915/#post-336231. I have the same problem.

I've tested SyphonInject under 10.13.5/10.13.6. It still works fine.

The issue you referenced is an OBS issue, either internal to OBS or something to do with their SyphonInject plugin.
