Problems:
- JAWS speaks the expansion text in both boxes mentioned 020 and 018, but the expansion text is followed by "/ Case 020 blank" and "/ Case 018", causing a duplication of the same info. So the expansion text is not helping. Perhaps not a good example.
- JAWS also reads the French expansion text as part of the English content, which is quite intrusive for the English reader. So I wouldn't recommend that either.

The use of expansion text is used here to identify the lack of information. IE Box number. If that box is empty, it states "Box 20 Blank". In this case expansion text is used to explain what number "020" is as well as whether or not it contains a value.
Versus, number "018" which contains a value. In this case, expansion text is used to explain the number 18 only, it states "Box 18".
Each of these elements also contains the French text.
