Evaluation with Acrobat and JAWS
Adobe Acrobat DC (19.010.10059)
JAWS Version 2018.1811.2 ILM
Windows 10
When needed to exemplify what JAWS is speaking, I’m using the same notation used in our guides for tagging psudo code. For instance, <H1>
{foobar} means that JAWS speaks the text foobar as a heading level 1.
JAWS navigation with hot keys reads a single heading containing the two spans, which is the desired behavior. Reading by lines however, JAWS pseaks the spans as separate headers:
<H1>
{Year}
<H1>
{Année}
<H1>
{2014 T4A }

:
agree with not duplicating the headers but in this example JAWS speech output does not apply the language change

The review committee is rejecting these because the file is too complex and doesn't highlight the specific issue being addressed.

in issue directory.For bilingual documents, content is repeated for the languages (Year/Année). You then need to use the same header twice for each language
<H1>
Year,<H1>
Année. There is no explicit rule for using the same header twice instead of using the span tag to merge the two language elements in one header tag.<H1>
