wrmXpress writes a number of different images to output, including diagnostic images associated with modules/wavelengths, and straightened worms from CellProfiler. Thus, the output of a CellProfiler pipeline is routinely >100 MB, which I think could be reduced.
Options to optimize disk usage:
[x] Change the bit-depth of straightened worm TIFFs
[ ] Change the type and compression of straightened worm images
