For what i understand, they hardcoded white list into Firefox/Android. Hopefully you could negotiate inclusion into it?

in the meantime, there is a way to forcefully add non-approved addons to Firefox mobile if you have a Mozilla account and are willing to use Nightly (or Mull) instead of Stable https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2020/09/29/expanded-extension-support-in-firefox-for-android-nightly/

It really feels like the appeal of this extension is very niche, so I feel like it’d be difficult to actually convince Mozilla to add it to their allowlist.

It was my understanding that you don't need Mozilla approval anymore, just mark the extensions as Android compatible
