Unarchiver not working #757

I have a RAR file but when i click open with the unarchiver, nothing happened. 
I can't get the Unarchiver to work and its driving me nuts.

Well I open a rar or exe file with the un archive rand nothing happens, it
doesn't unarchive the file.

Are you clicking the file, or dropping it on The Unarchier, or what? Is it 
showing any error messages or anything?

i am just opening the file with the unarchiver!

am i doing something wrong, is the right way to do it is to drag the file
into the application?

You should drag it onto the icon, or set The Unarchiver to be the default app 
for the file type, or use the Open menu.

no it just won open the files for me. i drag or open with the unarchiver
and it does nothing.

Try to disable any other programs that modify behaviour in other apps. See 
issue 583 for some suggestions of which kinds of apps may be causing problems.
