Orchard 1.7.3 #4

I am building this specific version, because it was the last version known to work on internet on page http://blog.softelegance.com/net/setting-up-orchard-cms-on-mono/

I took sources of version 1.7.3 from sourceforge - here, and applied your patches here

After that I still have build errors, the log is here

Orchard site says their latest version now works on linux, I didn't try it but they seem estatatic in claiming it works, and due to more openness of .NET now. Hi! Were there any results in building Orchard for Mono?

I am still under the impression the main line works for linux now, but I have not had time to try it. -tl

Ok, thank you for your quick reply. I have compiled Orchard 1.10.2 for Mono, but got an error during startup The type or namespace name Caching' does not exist in the namespaceSystem.Web', so now I don't know what to do with this problem.

But that is the old orchard, not the new version. Do you not want to attempt the new version, that it is said, runs on linux? If you google the orchard linux this person followed my instuctions, and refined them: http://blog.softelegance.com/net/setting-up-orchard-cms-on-mono/ this is the best guide there is at the moment.
