Make new character by character sending introduced in 3.5 configurable #41

I suspect that the char by char sending introduced in version 3.5 may be slowing down the transmission too much on my system. This is a request to make the delay (currently set to 10ms) configurable, and to make the number of characters are sent at a time (currently set to 1) configurable. Lastly, a checkbox to disable it and go back to the old method for those that don't want any buffering added.

Interesting. I didn't expect problems with the delay, but I will put this request at the top of my fix list for the next version.

well, i tried an older version without that char buffering, and it had the same speed, so you may disregard the issue.

Hi,I run it on my beaglebone with debian and xface. But It always happens "wait for ok failed".So I added the delay up to 20ms .It never happened again,I want to ask for the question that is the delay too long?
