@franzaps recommends zapping dev when they are updating

[ ] "We noticed you downloaded app X, and are updating the app. If you love "vitor's" work on "Amethyst", zap him to show your support.
[ ] add personalized picture of dev(s), and an appeal to donate. For instance, https://vitorpamplona.com/me.jpg
[ ] add optional zap message. placeholder text ("thank you Vitor. Btw please fix the XYZ bug")

how is the consumer notified / prompted of the suggestion to zap the dev
how might ZS distribute zaps to multiple team members https://github.com/zapstore/zapstore/issues/85

I was thinking of a dialog box (popup) once the user taps update and the update downloads in the background. Sporadic not always, and possible to disable in settings

My non-expert UI relationship with pop-ups is that they are associated with a negative experience. Maybe @NielLiesmons can advise

Gotcha. Maybe a slide down when the user taps update. Something they don't have to close and can continue using the app

Yes! Love that idea of reusing the waiting time to show an option to zap. Design TBD

It would be nice to test this somehow. I know no data is collected.

Could we pre-populate an anon/private LN/zap message with "sent with love from zap store".

Right now download update is a manual action. Maybe auto-update could play a role in jncentivizing pre-paid support of devs?
