I am very grateful that you have put together this package. However, I am new to downloading packages out of CRAN and having it work in R and have been struggling in both Mac and Windows following your steps. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Based on some of the error messages, I highly think it could be due to the outdated versions of some of the other packages that follow in. I was wondering if you are planning on uploading the Statismo to R CRAN or updating the codes... I am trying to use the Boolean Operation and it seems like rvtkStatismo is the only option I have currently using an R platform. This would really help me in my research. Thank you in advance.

The problem is, due to the regulations on CRAN (that have their virtues), it is pretty much impossible to get RvtkStatismo on CRAN ever. As I am the only programmer on this package, my resources are limited and once it worked reasonably well on OSX and out of the Box on Linux. However, OSX has changed and I do not own a Mac and have not the time to keep up with the system changes. On Windows 10, however, WSL has become a feasible way to run RvtkStatismo and setting it up within minutes: http://zarquon42b.github.io/2017/10/06/WSL-RvtkStatismo/

I hope this helps and clarifys matters a bit.

I greatly appreciate your dedication to connecting it to R. I will give it a try and let you know how it goes.
