my LGTV is my only current screen (for pc and ps4) I also don't have all the knowledge necessary to apply what I find in my research alone...

I will leave you my questions and the links that I think will be useful

1) is it possible to run the script on boot? https://xdaforums.com/t/is-there-a-way-to-autostart-app-on-startup-lg-tv-webos-3.3786551/

2) any way to make the tv to route the wifi to eth0 when finished? similar to what https://github.com/stooged/PI-Pwn does

3) make a signed .ipk to make it available on homebrew-channel https://github.com/webosbrew/webos-homebrew-channel/issues/9

**4) ability to chose between multiple stage2 files like LightningMod and Sistro versions

1) Would be nice to make it run on startup, although most of the time, people that would use this wouldn't always use the TV to JB the PS4, which could cause the app to run without any sense, but we can add a timeout of per example 30 secs, so that the app closes by itself if there is no answer back from the PS4

2) Im unsure since I don't know how that much about how webOS works, but I'll see if I can make something like that

3)This is one of my biggest ideas, and I'm pondering on developing it

4) You can choose a different stage2, currently you have LifhtningMods load payload form USB stage2 in PPLGPwn, you can upload a different one if you want into your TV, or just put any other payload in a USB

5[extra]) I've heard about button mapper, which is an app that you can download on your TV, where you can assign different action to different buttons (I suppose), if that's the case, you could set any button you'd like to toggle PPPGPwn, which would be pretty neat!

check my fork I managed to implement a very simple version of notification

I will try to put interactive notifications for the user depending on the answer activates the jailbreak or not

I managed to get it to start at the beginning too

I'm just having problems with routing

and with the installation script

btw great idea to map a button for PPLGPwn, i'll try that

I'm making my fork(because I have some different goals), but I'll contribute to yours whenever I implement something new on mine

zauceee commented 4 months ago

I've seen your fork and you have great plans! We could maybe join them both if you want, instead of making two different repos

llbranco commented 4 months ago

let's wait until we create an installation process with options, when that's ready we can join/merge it, how about that? I'm new to shell scripting and I intend to translate it to PT-BR asap support for multiple languages can also be a valid feature

Thank you for the excellent work! Could you please include this link as well? It covers more exploits than the two mentioned:

webosbrew rooting.
