Closed John-zaviago closed 10 months ago

John-zaviago commented 11 months ago

Issue Description: The storefront is experiencing significant delays in loading time on the catalog page, taking over 10-15 seconds for dynamic content to fully load. This is well beyond industry standards, which typically range from 1 to 2 seconds for optimal user experience.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Navigate to the storefront.
  2. Access the catalog page.
  3. Observe the loading time for dynamic content.

Expected Behavior: The catalog page should load within the industry-standard timeframe of 1 to 2 seconds.

Actual Behavior: The catalog page is taking excessively long, with loading times extending beyond 10-15 seconds.

Additional Information:

Action Plan:

  1. Assign the issue to a team member responsible for performance optimization.
  2. Conduct a detailed investigation into the catalog page loading process.
  3. Identify bottlenecks or issues causing the slow loading time.
  4. Implement optimizations to bring the loading time within the industry-standard range.
  5. Test the changes thoroughly to ensure they do not introduce any new issues.
  6. Communicate updates to the team and stakeholders.
  7. Monitor user feedback after the changes are deployed.
  8. Document the optimizations made for future reference.
  9. Consider implementing performance monitoring tools to prevent similar issues in the future.
