As stated in UG, under "Limitations of automation".
The semantics of whether a student should remain as Close Contact or not can be argued both ways, whether to strictly follow boolean checks in application or follow real world where a person will still be a Close Contact regardless of whether the Positive student has changed class or not. Other possibilities are whether editing a student's class to a different one should change the status of those students to Close Contact when in the real world that student would already be isolated at home.

First I set Alex to be positive thus making David Li a close contact as they share the same class. Now when I edit David Li's class to 5G, it still shows to be a close contact. (The User Guide only mentions the student who is positive being edited out. The user guide could be changed to include this exception).
