The SPHN SHACLer: Automatic generation of SHACL rules based on the SPHN RDF Schema
Session Overview
The Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN) has built a comprehensive infrastructure for health data exchange using the Semantic Web technologies with a strong focus on standardized, interoperable and high quality data. Within this framework, the SHACLer tool has been created to automate the generation of SHACL rules (e.g. class constraints, property constraints, cardinality constraints), from the SPHN RDF Schema, to ease the validation process of data against that schema. The SHACLer is integrated in the different SPHN pipelines (SPHN Connector and SPHN Schema Forge), enabling data providers, data managers and data consumers to verify if the datasets comply with the semantics as described by the SPHN RDF Schema in a highly performant manner.
Target Audience
Data scientists
Desired Feedback
Are there other kinds of data validation we could possibly think of implementing as general use cases? Anyone having experience there?
