That would be fantastic, yes. Bear in mind that the protocol spec is updated occasionally so it would be important to keep the translation up-to-date.
A pull request to the existing zips repo would be fine. Don't underestimate the amount of work required for this translation!
If it would help, when making changes to the spec I can put a marker around the corresponding text in the Chinese version so that it will be obvious to readers which things haven't been retranslated yet. For this it would be better to keep the structure of the Latex document as close as possible to the English one. I can also change the Makefile to build both versions.

This seems impractical given the current length and complexity of the spec. There is more than enough to do in a single language!

The protocol latex seems very nicely prepared. A lot of Chinese users or miners etc., are pretty interested in ZCash. I would like to ask if it is okay if I translate your protocol and push it as a pull request, or use code in your repo and make a new one.
