Activity not recorded after "Trim leading..." and "Collapse consec..." Common Transformations

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use Common Transformations either "Trim Leading and Trailing White Space" or 
"Collapse Consecutive whitespace." 
2. Conduct any other transformation or start a new project.
3. Close Google Refine
4. Re-open Google Refine

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The document from where you left off from your transformation.  Instead any 
actions/transformations made or projects created are non-existent.

What version of Google Refine are you using?
2.1

What operating system and browser are you using?
Windows 7 / Firefox 5.0

Is this problem specific to the type of browser you're using or it happens
in all the browsers you tried?
No

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm doing a lot of work involving the Cross.cells command and reconciling data 
across multiple spreadsheets.  This means I often have multiple projects/tabs 
open at once, however this only becomes a problem if I use the two 
transformations mentioned.
