Error when attempting to diff using FileMerge in Snow Leopard 10.6 #59

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select a project working copy
2. Highlight a file that has changes
3. Press "Diff" button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected FileMerge to open showing the diff between local copy and repository.

Received "svn: '/Applications/svnX.app/Contents/Resources/svndiff.sh'
returned 127" error. No messages in the output tray.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.0 of svnX
OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard

Please provide any additional information below.

Note that this is now happening after an upgrade to OSX 10.6 and was
working on OSX 10.5 prior to the upgrade.

Apparently OSX 10.6 uninstalls or disables /usr/bin/opendiff and/or
FileMerge.app.
You need to reinstall it/them.

I have never been able to use the DIFF function with SVNx and would very much
like to. I follow the same steps
to replicate with the same result. I run OSX 10.4 and SVNx v.1.1

Then you probably need to apply the same solution … install FileMerge.app.
[Alternately you might try the free TextWrangler & set that as your Diff app.]

Although I've got FileMerge installed and haven't had success, after installing
TextWrangler and running the
twdiff installation, I'm able to use TextWrangler for diff-ing.

I you are getting the above reported error then it's not installed correctly.
You need to reinstall it. How did you install it previously?
