`alt-n` and `` alt-` `` don’t work in normal/visual modes #17339

When I try to bind these keymaps to some action, nothing happens.

Environment

Zed: v0.150.4 (Zed) OS: macOS 14.6.1 Memory: 64 GiB Architecture: aarch64

I can reproduce. In other MacOS apps those keys actually generate special characters.

For example alt-n generates ˜ which is not ~ but Unicode Decimal Code ˜ small tilde. ˜ You can follow it be other letter for combining marks like ãõ etc.

Similarly, alt-` allows you to generate àèìòù.

Not sure if there's a workaround if you want to disable or remap IME for these shortcuts.
