Not all dot files offered in open file dialog #4302

Describe the bug / provide steps to reproduce it

I'm using the jetbrains keymap.

  1. I do a cmd-shift-o to search for a project file.
  2. I type ".env". As I type the matching files are listed.

I have 2 files in my project, ".envrc" and ".envrc.template". ".envrc.template" is listed. ".envrc" is not listed.

Environment

Zed: v0.116.1 (stable) OS: macOS 12.6.7 Memory: 16 GiB Architecture: x86_64

If applicable, attach your ~/Library/Logs/Zed/Zed.log file to this issue.

If you only need the most recent lines, you can run the zed: open log command palette action to see the last 1000.

If the file is open it displays in the dialog properly.

Hi @kellyfelkins Can you confirm you are still seeing this issue?

I was able to reproduce your issue (certain dot files not suggested) but only if those files were matched by .gitignore rules. Does this match your configuration?
