I finally discovered why I believe Zed is acting strange for me. I'm getting a path like this C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Temp\nw1940_19366\config\default as the location of the default files. I also have C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\zed\config, which appears to have my local files. I believe this is the reason #539 and #540 are occurring on my system.
