Almost... I reproduced it once after reading your request, and when I tried again to confirm the steps and tell you here, I couldn't.

All I know so far is it happens when Zed tells me it couldn't open project and shows me the project picker by itself, I mean, I'm not calling Project: Open Project Picker myself.

Some other observations that may or may not help:

• sometimes when starting Zed from my i3 menu, which calls it without parameters (no project), then Zed will open the project picker and things will get fucked up. I say things because when this happens, besides the logo issue, I also get:
• split views and split preview keybindings won't work as expected. I cannot go back to Split-1, I always have two or three splits or the preview opened.

I cannot find a way to reproduce the behavior of Zed telling me it couldn't open the project and bringing up the project picker. I you can tell me when this happens, then I may be able to reproduce this.

I just found out issue #550 is also related to this situation. My AVPAG/REPAG keys are working now. So you can merge that one into this.
