Support custom cursor shapes #3000

Thank you for your hard work. The software you developed has significantly improved my work efficiency. However, I encountered some difficulties during use. The arrow shaped cursor made it difficult for me to define the boundaries of the selected text. Therefore, I would like to ask if there is a way to change the cursor shape from an arrow to a text pointer. If it is possible to customize the highlight color of the selected segment at the same time, it would be more perfect.

I use the Alacritty terminal with zellij

Hi,

Could you share more about your setup? I'm on Ubuntu 20, Alacritty and zellij and found no issues in changing the mouse cursor. This needs to be done on your OS and you do need to restart your terminal. Does this not work on your system?
