problem with transparent PNG-8 #305

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. when I resize transparent png-8 images I'll get black background

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
black background on trancparent image

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.8.4

please post a link to an 8bit transparent png that gets a black background. The 
images I have tested with work fine

This image is transparent. Timthumb shows black background.
Options: h=120, w=120, zc=1, 2 or 3, q=95
