ALPR crashes iSpy #42

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. ALPR Plugin installed like described, Functionality visible in iSpy's HMI
2. Enter a Number in allow list, activate to "beep"
3. Focus camera to a license Plate

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected:

-Licence Plate is (hopefully) recognised

Observed:

-iSpy closes exactely in the moment, when the licenseplate (or somethings that
looks similar) comes into focus of camera.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

4.5.4.0

ALPR Plugin: downloaded version on Oktober 12th

Please provide any additional information below.

Checking iSpy's logfiles:

Nothing in it (beside starting Numberplate and Overlay dlls)

No difference if I choose "Continuous" or "When Movement"

Camera resolution was 320x240p, Licenseplate big enough to be recognised
properly

100% reproducible

Running on Windows XP 32bit

Beside this issue iSpy is very reliable.

Cheers,

Henrik

This plugin is experimental - it does work on my pc - have you checked the log
file?

Hi,

there is no logfile beside the protocol of iSpy's startup since iSpy crashes
really "hard" (vanishes).

Message 13:07:21 Checking Plugins...
Message 13:07:21 numberplate
Message 13:07:21 Added: c:\program
files\ispy\ispy\Plugins\numberplate\NumberPlates.dll
Message 13:07:21 Running External Command: open C:\Users\Henrik
Heinsch\AppData\Roaming\iSpy\XML\objects.xml

With Version 4.6.0.0 there is an additional line (I think it was not visible on
V4.5.4.0):

Message 13:07:46 Kinect supporting libraries not installed. (Der
Typeninitialisierer für "Microsoft.Kinect.KinectSensorCollection" hat eine
Ausnahme verursacht.)

If I can support with testing special version you can contact me.

Cheers,

Henrik

Yeah getting the same problem here. iSpy crashes as soon as ALPR is activated
in the alerts section.

Has anyone gotten iSpy numberplates to work?
This program has really had a lot of bugs in it so far.

You should try to get tesseractengine3.dll compiled for 32bits.

The issue is still up to date!

Tried today (2013-27-03) with the latest version 4.8.4.0 with latest Plugins on

Win7pro 64bit

--> Same result (iSpy crashes instantly if something like a licenceplate comes
into focus).

It would be great, if someone could explain how he/she could get it working.

Thanks a lot!

I have found a workaround here
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.accessviolationexception.aspx

i tried putting this line in iSpy.exe.config like this
....
<runtime>
    <legacyNullReferenceExceptionPolicy enabled = "1"/> <<-------
        <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1">
            <dependentAssembly>
...........

and now iSpy doesn't crash anymore when numberplate is active.
BUT the numberplates are still not recognized as expected.
