Super great work on this plugin! I was a little skeptical that it would handle my pom file properly and was about to write a similar plugin. To my surprise, this is really well written code and works very well!

I added some tests. At the very least I hope you'll consider merging it because with so little activity the plugin looks dead (and led to my initial skepticism).
