Get to know composer #1

It's a dependency manager not a package manager cause it manage "packages" or libraries on a per-project basis, installing them in vender directory inside project.

It's inspired by npm node and ruby bundler

PHAR (PHP archive), which is an archive format for PHP which can be run on the command line

composer is PHAR file composer.phar which can be run as a command line on unixy system.
composer command read a composer.json file, which specify package and version constraints. composer install
It create composer.lock file which specify the exact version of package
usually composer.json and composer.lock are added into git.

All the composer packages are located at Packagist

composer generate a vender/autoload.php file for packages supoort autoload. Souce code only need to require __DIR__ . '/vendor/autoload.php'; to include the package
