zencq / NomNom

NomNom is the most complete savegame editor for NMS but also shows additional information around the data you're about to change. You can also easily look up each item individually to examine its attributes, independently of a savegame, or get other useful information that are not related to a specific savegame (but enhanced if one is loaded).

I also have this issue and I am not using Xbox (so it finds no saves at all). Every time I put a text field into the box in the settings asking where saves are located it reverts/deletes it. Every time I try to locate it manually with Explorer nothing happens. I tried running as admin and non-admin with the same results. Not sure if it is because I have a space/_ in my name on Windows, because I still use Win 10, or something else altogether. I originally thought it was a bug with the old version but the latest version as of Jul 31 still has the issue. I will move it all to the base drive for testing and I will report back if it fixes the issue but not gonna bother if nothing changes.

Edit/update, changing the folder of the editor to d: and renaming its default folder from save editor to nomnom (so it is located at d:/nomnom) fixed the issue. It is even detecting the saves on my Steam despite my Windows user name having _ in it. Not sure why it fixed it but if I had to guess I would say the editor hates the space (which is funny when you realize it was made for a game about space) lol. Anyway, try making sure there are no spaces in the address where you store the editor and it should fix it. The creator might wanna put something about the issue on the main page if they don't plan to fix it (it is not a huge problem to store them in a different place and make shortcuts).
