Apps are starting to move on to Material You Design philosophy and generally makes apps look better. Please consider using it.

I would try to create a PR but it looks like they're not accepting contributions, @zend10 are we still waiting on accepting PRs? :weary:

I thought that's why people for forking the repo, but most of them are either behind this repo in commits, or unworked on. This is one of the few repos in existence that I would be interested in helping where I could, but I also get wanting to keep it solo

I would totally be down for a separate fork with Material You

I'd help out where I can, but don't have much confidence in my skills 😅

I really appreciate all the enthusiasm to contribute to the app. I haven't been accepting Pull Request or any suggestions for a whole year now because I'm stuck with a heavy decision, on top of real life responsibility.

The rate limit issue is literally making the app unusable so I've been reworking on it. On top of that, the current code base is not something I want people to use as reference to learn Android development from, so I've been making it to something more acceptable (at least according to my standard).

However, I think I'm going to make a decision to release v.2.0 to public Beta soon enough, probably within this week. It'll has many features still undone, riddled with bugs, probably with design that will disappoint people, but hopefully fewer Rate Limit issues. And on top of that, I'll be able to accept Pull Request towards that v.2.0.

@zend10 I totally get and understand it. It's super difficult to invest time in so many things when life demands a lot from us as is. That's why I respect developers who still have time to make applications even after working a 9-5 job coding. This app is your child, and sharing your child sounds scary without any context haha Thanks for everything you've done so far!

Hey, literally don't worry too much about this project. Don't get me wrong, I love it, the rate limiting issues are frustrating, and I'm really hoping 2.0 comes soon, but life can come at you hard and all at once sometimes. Make sure you're okay before trying to please internet randoms. You're giving your time for free, and honestly, your app is the best thing I've seen out there, so it's not like you're slacking. The fact that you're holding yourself to a standard where people could learn from your code, instead of just reveling in a great, yet possibly spaghetti-coded app (which I haven't even checked, just going by your comments here and elsewhere) shows that you're holding yourself to a high standard. Take it easy on yourself though, okay? You're doing great.

I'm eagerly awaiting the new app - can't wait to see what you have planned! :)

(Please forgive any typos - my phone autocorrect is acting up!)
