Shorter app + consistency improvements #52

I reduced the height of the app and did some style cleanup throughout.

I'm new to git versioning (and see another pull request with some of these changes) but I've also made a few other modifications as well, including one to unify the headers within the application. Buttons look a little cleaner on the main app page as well.
