Hello

Why did we create another channel to share this type of information and we did not use the site? In my opinion it could be a good place for this information..

One channel is more maintainable, speedy, easy to increase and read.

@gianarb The information in here is two-fold:

• It contains some scripts and functionality to assist with some of the most common tasks for maintainers.
• It allows us to version the information easily.

Yes, it could be moved to the website, as that's under version control… currently. We may change how the site is built quite dramatically in the future, however, and this information needs to be quite permanent in terms of ability to link.

Additionally, it's far easier to link to contributors and teams from here than it would be from the website (we can typically just use @ notation, without using linking notation).

Finally, this information is for maintainers primarily; i.e., those with merge access. I'm not sure we want or need to clutter up the website with that information.

I'm open to ideas, though; the problem is that there's no clean information architecture on the website; it's grown organically over the years. Without an overhaul, I'd be a bit concerned about discoverability of this information on that site.

I understand the problem, yes in first this issue is for this informations:

At the moment the site is under VCS in the same way of this repo. The site is indexed and in my opinion this is a good way to use it for all :) In order to increase the contents.

The site can change its structure to resolve our problem.. :) Requires work but it serves to communicate in the best way with all. Maybe we will think a good submenu for the current mainmanu.
