HTC Hero connect to ubuntu standart VNC server (vinagre) no screen refresh. #87

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get a HTC hero,
2. Setup the standard VNC server in Ubuntu 9.10
3. connect

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

you will only see the begin screen, if you click anything, nothing will
happen on the phone, but however if you look on the screen something will
happen. 
Like, if you click on a menu, the menu will pop out on the computer screen
but not on the phone screen

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
latest Market version of AndroidVNC, intergrated Vinagre server on Ubuntu 9.10

Same with HTC Magic, Android 1.6 and Ubuntu 9.10.

If you turn off Compiz in Ubuntu, it will work ok.  See

Yup, the same problem here.
Samsung i9000 connected to ubuntu 10.04
