Visual Editor Plugin #7

I'd still like to get the visual editor plugin working someday; I abandoned it for the first release, and sadly this means I can't use it for my originally intended use (WYSIWYG is really essential for the users I was planning on having). Getting the plugin working turned out to be a pain though.

I actually meant to ask... what was the source of the difficulty?

I've forgotten some of the details, though the commit log is probably littered with my debugging process. I have some memory of getting stuck on a problem where trying to edit an existing page just pegged the CPU and never actually loaded. (and kept pegging the CPU even after the request timed out, until the grain was killed).
