Minitest just replaces extra characters with "_". If someone cares about test names (when using tools like turn) I rather have him see "wont_have_valid" than "won_t_have_valid" or even worse "won t have valid".
I'm not sure how this is done in test/unit as I believe it defines methods too, but maybe it keeps a description cache as well.
