Installing MapBook 9.2 #37

I have a user at a remote office that I'm attempting to help install
Mapbook for ArcMap 9.2, but I'm having some difficulty even getting
started. I logged on as administrator and downloaded the package &
extracted the files to the folder named: Mapbook_for_9.2_2007.October.26
to his computer and checked out the ReadMe file. The ReadMe file said that
it would be as easy as running the install batch file, but when I do all I
see is: "Registering mapbook DLLs...Adding mapbook registry keys...Press
any key to continue..." in a command window. That's all. After doing this
the user started up ArcGIS to see if the tools had been added, but found
nothing. I'm a serious newbie when it comes to ArcGIS in general, so
please forgive my newbness. Oh, and this a Windows XP installation.

Ok, looks like I've answered my own question. I found a newer version of the
MapBook
package, and this one worked just fine.

Thank you for coming back and updating the issue.

Do you happen to remember where you acquired the newer package from? I'd like
to
examine the difference.

Hello,

I only have Arcmap 9.2 and I installed Mapbook_for_9.2_2007.Ocotber.26
I have the same problem as the other person mentioned.
I can't Turn on the Map Series Toolbar.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I no longer have access to a system where I can test or debug arcmapbook.
However one suggestion that I can make, for Vista/Win7/Win8, is try
running the install batch file as administrator (right-click on it and
choose "Run as Administrator").
