Export tool silently fails if an invalid export path is entered #39

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a map
2. Open the export tool.
3. Ensure that the export path is not valid, either by entering an invalid 
value or by means of the OCT.
4. Press Export

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- A warning should be given that there the export path is invalid.
- At the moment this fails silently

this seems to be working ( I didn't do anything though!). 

message given when there is an invalid export path is

"---------------------------
Invalid path
---------------------------
The export path is not valid. Please choose another path.
---------------------------
OK   
---------------------------
"

Verified a warning message box pops up infomring of an invalid file path
