Positive:

• Liked how intuitive the demonstration of the website was with the song randomizer at this timestammp
• Code run through over how JSON file was parsed was well done, showed technical mastery
• Segment for CB notes showed a clear connection

Improve:

• Since presentation vibe is also an aspect of video presentation, I think having a more engaging overall voice during the video could help with improving the overall video

Tanmay:

Positive:

• Liked the side by side comparison you had between code and actual web page, made understanding what was happening really easy.
• The reflection alongside the actual college board test corrections really demonstrated how you were learning from the CB and applying that knowledge
• The java program worked on was also nice, it had an actual purpose while also being reflective on college board notes

Improve:

• Overall the demonstration of knowledge about CB topics was well done, but there could have been some more integration of the actual project rather than just side minilabs.

Charlie:

Positive:

• Liked the light music in the background, made the presentation more enjoyable
• The transition to CB notes was well done, really showed you applying your learning
• Table portion was well done, explanation was concise and detailed Improve:
• I think the code demonstration could be done better, with a shorter explanation and really letting the actual site do the explaining and providing multiple examples.

• Directly stated what college board units pertained to what was presented
• Nice engaging voice that kept me intrigued in presentation regardless of what was presented
• Good use of video editing to keep the video under the required time limit

Improve:

• The code explanations were kind of long, its better to explain one thing clearly and concisely than lengthy and complicated. If this was done, video being too long should not be a problem

Positive:

• I really thought the connection of one of your topics to a collegeboard progress check here was nicely executed and shows your learning.
• Your inclusion of your thought process of thinking of a seating chart when given a 2d array was also awesome.
• Your active voice makes it worthwhile to stay and watch what you have to offer. It felt like I was looking at some famous coder's youtube tutorial

Improve:

• Instead of just thoroughly explaining your code, maybe you can include more of how this all interacts with everything else thats part of the project (for your first topic)

• Good job explaining this part where you showed implementation of 2d arrays in html
• Its obvious you aimed for overachieving through the background music you offered to spice up your presentation
• Good job with demonstrating understanding of 2d arrays with explanations and executions done in succession

• Although the code does show mastery, theres not that much practicality as a feature for our pbl as of now, but I'm sure that can be worked on in the future.

Positive:

• I like how comfortable you were with the song code (shown here), you used words like classes, embeds, and objects which really reflect your knowledge of coding
• Going over your ticket was a really nice touch (shown here)as it shows your process for creating the feature and what steps you took to ultimately deploy what we see today. I guess the next step would be to reveal the whole brainstorming process, as well as go over planned features for the future
• Relationship to college board notes (shown here) really highlights what exactly you took away from the unit videos/progress checks

Improve:

• The process of moving tabs (shown here) distracts from the video a little bit and detracts from the vibe a little bit. I also think more vocal inflection could make the video a little more engaging

Allen:

Positive:

• I like the clear editing style and quick transitions, they really kept me engaged and allowed me to follow the connections between PBL, code, and college board very easily
• In depth explanation for iteration was very well done (shown here). You explained each line of code very well and made sure that nothing stated was vague or unclear
• When you went over the hashmap (shown here), I like how you were able to tie in the earlier part of the presentation on iteration and explain the for loops within your 2nd topic. Shows an overall mastery of the units and the ability to combine topics to create a feature for the website

Improve:

• I feel like a lot of the process went towards the code explanations and the application to the website was kind of lost (mostly in the second topic). Maybe for the topic which corresponds with Komay's section (mentioned here) you could create a sample UI or graphic that shows your plans for the hashmap application

Charlie:

Positive:

• Overall, the "vibe" of the video is definitely engaging and the music in the background makes the video very fun to watch
• Use of 2d array with mixed in css was very nice to see (shown here, shows great mastery of multiple topics and how they mesh together
• I like how you explained some HTML to go along with the java (shown here. Considering that the collegeboard topics only explored java it is nice to see your fluency in HTML as well and shows how you go above and beyond

Improve:

• For the 2d array, I think there have been many examples in which we have just listed the table out on the site, so it would have been nice to see some more interaction in regards to 2d arrays/model.

Positives:

• I really liked how you walked through the notes of the college board units you were going over starting at this timestamp
• The code explanations were very in depth throughout the video (one example starting here). I think it definitely shows that you knew what your code was doing and what you were writing.
• Lastly, I liked that after code explanations/ before depending on which one, you showed the code actually working. I think it really helped cement that what you were actually doing was working.

Improve:

• Overall, I really liked most things about the video. I do wish however that there was more effort to a vibe. I feel like your voice was a bit lacking in energy and maybe adding some background music would've been nice.

• Your song feature and showcase of how you did it was amazing. It really makes the website have a purpose and gives it a pop! It was first shown here
• The code explanation of the e algorithm starting here was very cool. You talked with confidence and knew exactly what each part of your algorithm was doing.
• Finally, your explanation of JSON here was pretty insightful and well explained. I really felt like I was learning something as you walked through line by line.

Improve:

• The video is overall really well done. If I was really nitpicky I would say that some parts of editing were a bit chunky and that there needs to be a little more happiness when explaining code. Other than that, it's perfect. Good Job!

Positives:

• I really liked the split screen setup so that you could show how you were meeting each and every requirement. I think it was especially good at this point in the video, as you showcased what you learned.
• The code explanation was really in depth on your 4 way algorithm which was really good. I loved how you truly went line by line (starting here) to cover what each code segment did.
• Last but not least, I found your mini lab to be very cool. It would be a very useful way for teachers to access which student sits in what seat. The explanation of it starting here used specific words and was really well done.

Improve:

• Ultimately, I feel like the video was done very well. It showcased your knowledge and completion of the topics extremely well. I do wish you found a way to implement your knowledge of 2D arrays onto the site (though not required). Other than that I have nothing to say.

I like how you split your screen to continuously compare college board material to your own code, and your presentation was very smooth while good transitions between notes and code. Also, your video was concise, explained the code in depth, and didn't waste any time. Your second example also covered the full scope of 2d arrays and unit 8, which was very impressive.

Things to improve

Your first topic presentation on loops and recursion does not cover recursion. You explained iteration and the while loop very well, but your code example didn't include any recursion or connection to it. I would recommend calling upon the init function itself to produce new terms, so your code can cover both loops and recursion in the same function.

• Topic 1
  • 1/1 I see the connections between your algorithms and the CB unit you mentioned. And you highlighted the example from CB that matched your code.
  • 1/1 The code tour was well done. You went over and explained what each part of the code does line by line.
  • 0.75/1 It was pretty neat that you added music (I like it). But I think the order of what you have talked about can be improved. You should finish all your college board unit connection all together at a certain time instead of talking CB at the beginning, then the code and then make another connection with CB. I found this a little distracting.
• Topic 2
  • 1/1 I see the connections you made with CB 2D array unit.
  • 1/1 Code tour -> Interesting technic to use 2D array for storing data and used it in a very smart way.
  • 1/1 Everything went very smooth in topic 2. One thing I would suggest is that you can go a little over the time limit maybe to summarize or talk about why you chose to use 2D array instead of other data type like dictionary, and don't rush the ending. I'm not planning to take off points this time, so just watch out next time.
