'Show ids only on demand' show tab ids all the time

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Configuration / General / enable 'Show ids only on demand'
2. Layout / enable 'Show tab ids'

What is the expected output?
No ids should be displayed on the screen

What do you see instead?
The tabs still display the ids, they only go away if I disable 'Show tab
ids' - tab ids do not show up then if I toggle visibility of ids

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.5.2.2; windows XP SP 3; Firefox 3.5.6
