Undefined control sequence "GenericError" #75

Hi, I'm trying the example of this style for my thesis.

I found the following two errors repeat hundreds of times. 

Undefined control sequence.
\GenericError  ...            

Undefined control sequence.
\CJK@@@ignorespaces ->\futurelet \CJK@next@token

What should I do?

These are not likely related to gbt7714. You may provide a MWE along with your compiling engine, platform, and TeX distribution.

XeLaTeX is required to compile the example document.

is it possible to use pdflatex?

The Ph.D. thesis templet is built upon pdflatex and difficult to change, especially the language problem like package CJKcaption.

I'm not sure. The contents of gbt7714 are encoded in UTF-8 thus the whole document requires UTF-8 encoding. You may use CJKutf8 or pass UTF8 to ctex (\usepackage[UTF8]{ctex}) but both methods are not available for testing on my Mac machine.

It is perfectly working on pdflatex. The problem lies somewhere else
