Characters in normal typeface will not highlight if immediately following bold characters

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Type in any kanji/kana compound into Google and click Search
2. In any of the results, attempt to highlight the text immediately following 
the bolded search term.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the entire following compound to highlight. Instead, it will only 
highlight from the second character on after a bold one.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.8.5 on Windows XP and 7

Please provide any additional information below.
This happens on all websites, not just Google. Hope you can fix it! Thank you!

Yup, this happens for me too. Not the hugest problem in the world, but it 
should be fixed if possible...
