Unreliable check for dotnet version #100

The C# demos use the MSBuildToolsVersion to detect the dotnet version in use, but it's not a reliable check. With the latest dotnet 2.1 SDK on centos 7, we get version 16.0 just like with dotnet sdk 3.0.
