I'm sorry to post this here but I'm having difficulty getting a clear answer from the billing team and really need some clarification.
After receiving a large bill this month for a large number of devices being used, I was initially very confused and thought this was an error.
I have five devices that I add and remove from my ZeroTier account when in use/not in use. They are removed when not in use for security reasons. The member IDs are exactly the same and have not changed since I installed ZeroTier on my machines.
My large invoice this month is being explained by the billing team as the number of times I authorized a device to my account even if it is the same exact member ID of the set of five member IDs. So if I add a member, remove it, then add that exact same member back in the same billing period I get billed for two devices.
Is this how ZeroTier is inventorying/counting devices now? This feels like n-th order dipping... I don't think that it ever used to work like this but if so definitely need to rethink my usage.
