Very long tile loading time

What steps will reproduce the problem?
create a simple project with only mapview add osmdroid jar version
3.0.2 and above and the tile loading is taking very long time.
if using versions 3.0.1 and earlier the tile loading is very fast.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the tile loading in the new versions should be as fast as before.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
any version.

Please provide any additional information below.
somewhere between versions 3.0.1 and 3.0.2  something changed in the
tile loading that made it much slower.

Is this issue still present in the latest version? If so, please provide trace 
files before the speed issues and after the speed issues for us to look at.

While checking the last revision(1088) it seems that the tile loading is much 
faster.
guess the problem was addressed in the meantime.
