Currently, all pages are in sub-directories to get rid of the .html file suffix. As detailed in the second response to this StackOverflow question this is not actually necessary, probably because GitHub's servers are configured to try the .html extension in content negotiation.
Thus, the entire tree of content in /sv/ should be refactored to do away with the unnecessary directories, and future translations do this right from the start.
