This was already discussed and rejected in the past, at least for stock board
as this would require a ton of EEPROM memory to store 2 bytes * 16 channels.
It could be considered on ARM and especially on Taranis as we already have
failsafe memory available. 2 new custom functions ("Store Failsafes" and
"Replay Failsafes") could be useful and would be easy to implement.

Would be handy mainly for beginners and sophisticated models as well

Absolutely useless as already discussed as you cannot know how is your model
set when you enter fail safe, and unless your model is autostable is impossible
to enter automagically in any stable flying condition,
The only safe condition then is engine off full elevator full rudder and
ailerons to enter in spin as we do not want the model to travel by himself.

Not all fly acrobatics, FPV users would like to softly land with expensive
devicees and their models are ususaly in linear fly as well as FPV copters

If you have a FPV system with a decent auto-stabilization system and RTH you
don't need to set single channels to enter failsafe

Ok lets not open discuss here about it there is forum for this, I got idea to
easily set failsafe this way, lets developers decide to add or not it as
comfort function that some users can help... not sure if there are some radios
with this function but why not have it...

Following Romolo's standpoint, because if this was made easy it would encourage
people who don't know what they do to use it and think it's good.
As said on the forum it's already possible using GVars and / or alternate
mixers for those who really want to do it.
