Would like to see, "move file to" and "copy file to."

zhanghai commented 8 months ago

You can do copy or cut, and then paste.

G3tHob commented 8 months ago

Yes, I know. But it's really slow if you're moving lot of files around, which I do. Essentially I have to, copy, paste then go back and delete the file(s) from the previous folder(s). It's just more efficient to, "move to/copy to."

Thank you for the free app. I think it's great! \(°o°)/

Can you cut (instead of copy) and paste if you don't want the file in the original folder?

G3tHob commented 8 months ago

Yes you are right if I only had a few files to move, but today I had to move 21 files to another folder. I can't use Material Files to do this. It would take way too long. I would have to go through each 21 of those files, copy/paste. Then I would have to go back and delete the files from the original folder. Move to/copy to is just more efficient. That would add to the efficiency of Material Files.

Thank you for getting back to me,

Yes, I know this. I'm just dealing with a large amount of files and frequently move them around to different folders. Hence the need for move/copy to. If I choose "move to" I don't have to go back and delete anything. Plus, I can choose multiple files from one folder to move to another folder in a single tap. ¯\(ツ)/¯

You can select all those 21 files together, then Cut them in the selection toolbar, and Paste them together.
