Add an option to set Material Files as the default file manager on rooted systems, and as a file chooser option on non-rooted systems #815

I like using Material Files but the problem is that if I want to choose a file to upload to a website, I cannot use Material Files to do that and I have to resort to using the Google file manager. Since I'm on a rooted phone, would it be possible to override the native Android functionality to force open material files or just add it as an option when opening a file? This already exists for opening image files but it would be good if it would do this for all file types.

It doesn't appear in the share prompt for me

I also don't see Material Files as an option for being a file chooser on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. I recently upgraded from the Note 8 and it didn't show on there either. I am using the F-Droid version.

This thread is really two separate issues and I think the file chooser part is the most important because that affects everybody whether rooted or not.

I would appreciate anyone recommending alternative apps that they use for being a file chooser for the interval until Material Files can hopefully provide this feature in the future!
