Add function to save project #8

It may be beneficial to save/load a layout as well as the data contents and
any associated specifications (color scheme, classification, etc.).

Need to save:

1. Layout
2. Data
3. Symbolization and classification state

This works, but not reliably. Scheduling for 0.9 release.
