Change in versioning scheme intentional? #74

Hello,

The most recent version of rvtests switches from a classic dot-style versioning scheme (2.0.7) to a date-style versioning scheme (20181226). Is that intentional, or did it happen in error?

I am asking because once we have a version 20181226 in Bioconda, it will be considered "newer" than e.g. 2.0.8 for all time.

I guess the v2.0.8 is preferred. Under the rare case I released two versions on the same day, the version number x.x.x seems to be better than date.
