It will be nice if DashClock has own simple (built in) Battery extension.

I agree to this!
A Battery extension would be highly useful, mostly if you use the Widget on 
your lock screen (as I do), and not necessary as a Daydream option.
I have a Nexus 5, and Google decided that a battery percentage option should 
not be available in the 4.4.4 build.
